In 2019 it became clear that the roof of the main building at Lert Sa Wat was not going to last much longer. There were buckets in all of the Children’s Home bedrooms to catch the water.
Thanks to your orders from the Christmas Catalogue 2019, fundraising events and gifts during 2019/20, the new roof was completed in the Spring of 2020 and the staff are delighted with the result. The new roof is much more efficient at catching the rainwater, with the result that the four water tanks that were installed a year ago are always full and easily replenished when it rains. Lert Sa Wat relies upon these tanks for their water supply and the efficiency of this system gives everyone confidence that there will be enough water during the dry summer time in March and April.
